Part and Sum is a strategic growth agency based in New York and Los Angeles, working with brands like Notion, J.P. Morgan Payments and Bluevine. Their previous site had fallen behind the business it represented, and the brand itself was only half defined. Part of our work was to build the rest of it: type, colour, grid, graphic language and motion, everything a digital system needs to hold together.

The harder part was giving strategy a shape. Strategic work resists being shown, since what an agency like this actually sells is thinking, and thinking has no image of its own. So the site was designed to make the reasoning visible, moving through the method and the client work as a single argument rather than a set of pages. The result reads as a system, which is the point: the whole is worth more than its parts.
